14 people dead, 21 injured after pick-up vehicle meets with accident in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh: On Thursday morning, police said that at least 14 people were killed after a pickup vehicle overturned as the driver lost control in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. After receiving information about this incident, local people and police reached on the spot.

Madhya Pradesh: On Thursday morning, police said that at least 14 people were killed after a pickup vehicle overturned as the driver lost control in Dindori district of Madhya Pradesh. After receiving information about this incident, local people and police reached on the spot.

According to the police, the incident happened under the jurisdiction of the Shahpura police station of the district when the affected people were returning from a ‘godh bharai’ programme. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed condolence over the tragic road mishap in Dindori district and announced a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of the accident victims.

About this incident, Dindori Collector Vikas Mishra said that 14 people have died and 20 injured in Dindori district of West Bengal after a pick-up vehicle lost control and overturned at Badjhar ghat. He added that Injured people are undergoing treatment at Shahpura Community Health Centre while the dead were sent for postmortem.

A post on social media platform X, CM said, “Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has expressed deep condolence over the untimely demise of many precious lives in a vehicle accident in Dindori district. He wishes peace to the departed souls and strength to the family members to bear this loss.”

He added,”The Chief Minister said that financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each will be provided to the families of those injured in the incident. Instructions have been given to the district administration for proper treatment of the injured.”
