New Delhi: A teenager died after getting stuck in a lift in a factory in Bawana Industrial Area. The juvenile has been identified as Alok of Holambi Kalan Metro Vihar. While the police claim that the teenager died after getting stuck in the lift, the relatives allege that the factory foreman had sent Alok to operate the lift.
The NIA police station has taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. Police is trying to find out what Alok went to do in the lift shaft. The police officer said that the NIA police station had received information about the teenager getting trapped in the lift at 4 pm on Sunday.
Police personnel took out the teenager from the lift and sent him to the hospital where the doctor declared him brought dead. During investigation, it was found that Alok’s mother works as a helper in a cooler manufacturing factory. She lives in Holambi Kalan with her husband, five daughters and a son, Alok. Alok had gone to the factory with his mother. While playing, he reached the shaft of the factory lift and during this someone pressed the lift button. Due to which the teenager got stuck in the middle of the lift and died.
The police have taken the body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the hospital. On the other hand, the relatives alleged that Alok used to come to the factory with his mother Kamla Devi. During this he used to sit with his mother. The foreman of the factory told him that if he did some work, he would get some money. Similarly, minor works were got done by Alok and for the last few days he was also used to start the lift. The mother had also expressed objection regarding this.
Even on Sunday he was sitting with his mother. During this, the foreman asked 14-year-old Alok to start the lift. As soon as he started the lift, suddenly the lift came down from above. He died after getting stuck in the lift. Police is investigating in the FIR tax case.
