16-year-old girl kidnapped, gang-raped for three months in Jharkhand’s steel city of Bokaro

Bokaro: Girls have to always live under the shadow of terror. Rape, molestation, and domestic violence are increasing with every passing day.

A new rape case has been revealed in Jharkhand’s city of Bokaro, where a 16-year-old class 9 student was abducted three months ago by three men. She was locked in a room, beaten up regularly, and they raped her time and again for three months.

The three culprits are identified as Mantosh, Vishnu Kumar, and Manoj Kumar. In her FIR, the girl mentioned that she did not know any of them.

The family members of the girl complained to the local women’s police station on April 20, a day after she went missing. The police took the matter easily and asked them to wait till she returned home.

On Monday, DSP (city) Kuldeep Kumar said, “After an FIR was lodged against the three accused, an investigation has started.” The medical examination of the girl will be conducted and her statement will also be recorded before the court soon. ” He also said a search is on to nab the culprits after identifying them in their probe. They were slapped with different sections of the Pocso Act and the IPC.

The family members of the girl said that she went outside the home on April 19 when she was returning after purchasing clothes. The three assailants dragged her into an autorichshaw and tied her mouth. They took her to a room, locked her up, and tied her mouth whenever they went outside. They served food to her as well.

A woman’s neighbour on July 19 noticed the girl and broke her lock to escape. Then she reached home and narrated her suffering to her parents. On Sunday, the family members with the girl reached Bokaro women’s police station and filled in a complaint. Then the FIR was registered.
