2 Businessmen riding Harley Davidson killed in multiple vehicles collision on KMP Expressway | Video

The victims, both aged in their 40s and hailing from Delhi and Gurugram respectively, were fond of riding motorcycles. But what started as a joyous journey soon turned into a nightmare near Bilaspur.

Gurugram: In a tragic series collision on Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Pachgaon under Bilasput police station, two experienced businessmen, Prashant Narula and Parmeet Singh Sood lost their lives suddenly. The incident occurred as part of a disturbing sequence of events that began with the sudden braking of a trailer truck on a quiet Sunday morning.

The victims, both aged in their 40s and hailing from Delhi and Gurugram respectively, were fond of riding motorcycles. They were out for a weekend ride aboard their high-end Harley Davidson and BMW motorcycles, as part of a leisure group. But what started as a joyous journey soon turned into a nightmare near Bilaspur.

As per reports, a trailer truck driver applied brakes suddenly without giving any indicator on the Expressway, which causes the severe accident as eight vehicles coming from behind collided with each other. Both the bikers died after getting trapped in the crash.

According to the police, Mukul Kumar, a resident of DLF Phase 5, who was part of a group of seven bikers, said in his complaint that at around 7.30 a.m. on Monday, they had gone for ride to Sohna from the Golf Course Road.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when a trailer truck suddenly applied brakes, causing a Hyundai i20 to collide with it. Subsequently a BMW X7, an open-body truck and a container truck all became part of the destructive pile. In the ensuing chaos, Narula is fatally crushed between two trucks, while Sood collided with the open-body truck. Despite desperate rescue attempts by their friend Mukul Kumar and other commuters present on the scene, both Narula and Sood were declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.

Following the incident, the local police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the absconding trailer truck driver. he victims’ bodies have been handed over to the family members after autopsy, said Subhash Boken, spokesperson for Gurugram Police. The charges include reckless driving, causing death by negligence and causing damage to property. As the search for the driver continues, this incident serves as a sobering reminder of the huge toll that carelessness can take on the roads.
