A portion of a 100-year-old building collapsed in Chennai's NSC Bose Road on Friday night, killing two and injuring two others. The injured have been taken to the hospital. Awaiting more information.

Chennai: A portion of a 100-year-old building collapsed on Friday night at NSC Bose Road in Chennai, killing two persons and injuring 3 others.

Police officials said, two people were killed and two were injured when part of a building collapsed at NSC Bose Road in Chennai.

Fire Service personnel rescued the injured persons and work is on to clear the debris.

Several parts of the city faced waterlogging as rains lashed the city over the past two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday (November 4) predicted that the heavy downpour is likely to continue in the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry for the next three days. “Heavy rainfall spell likely to continue over Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala during next 3 days,” stated the IMD.
