Another coaching student committed suicide by hanging himself in Kota. The student was studying medicine while living in Vigyan Nagar area. The name of the deceased student has been told as Aditya, who had come to Kota two months back.
Kota: Another coaching student has committed suicide in Kota, Rajasthan. Staying in the hostel of Vaishnav Samaj in Vigyan Nagar police station area, a 17-year-old coaching student, who was preparing for NEET from a coaching institute, committed suicide by hanging himself. The body of the deceased student has been kept in the mortuary of MBS Hospital.
According to Vigyan Nagar police station, student Mehul Vaishnav Salumber is a resident of Udaipur, who had come to Kota 2 months ago to prepare for NEET. The student was preparing by staying at the Vaishnav Bairagi Samaj Bhavan hostel located in Vigyan Nagar, where he committed suicide by hanging himself on Tuesday afternoon.
On getting the information about the incident from the student’s room partner, he informed the guard, on which the members of the society belonging to the hostel reached the spot and the information was given to the police. When the police reached the spot and broke open the door, the student was found hanging inside with a noose around his neck, the doctors declared him brought dead when he was taken to the hospital.
Police said that the matter is of Vigyan Nagar police station area and the youth was preparing for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET). According to the police, he allegedly committed suicide on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday and no suicide note has been recovered from him. The deceased has been identified as Mehul Vaishnav and he was preparing for NEET in a coaching institute in Kota for the last two years.
The body has been kept in the mortuary of MBS Hospital. Circle Inspector (CI) of Vigyan Nagar police station Devesh Bhardwaj said that the post-mortem will be done after the arrival of the family members of the youth. This is the 13th case of suspected suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year. In 2022, at least 15 cases of suicide by coaching students were registered in Kota.
