2 Passenger, one freight derailed: Know about Odisha tragedy, How 3 trains collided each other?

Baleshwar: On Friday, 3 trains fell victim to a painful accident in Balasore district of Odisha. The accident occurred near Panpana, two km from Bahanaga station, where the Shalimar to Chennai-bound Coromandel Express (12841-Up) rammed into a stationary goods train. The train then derailed and collided with the Bangalore-Howrah Express.

How did the accident happen?
Many passengers lost their lives and more than 350 passengers were injured in this accident, but still people do not understand how this accident happened, then tell that in this accident, Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, Shalimar-Chennai The Central Coromandel Express and a goods train were involved.

Coromandel coaches derailed
Several coaches of the Howrah-bound 12864 Bengaluru-Howrah train derailed at Bahnaga Bazar in Balasore district and fell on the adjacent tracks.

The 12841 Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, which was coming on the adjacent tracks, collided with the derailed coaches of the earlier train and its coaches also overturned.

A goods train was also involved in this gruesome train accident, as the coaches of the Coromandel Express collided with its coaches after derailing.

Arrangements in AIIMS for the injured
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that arrangements have been made to provide all possible help to the injured at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Bhubaneswar.

He tweeted on Friday night, “Along with the arrangement of emergency, ICU and OT beds, all doctors, nurses and staff have been instructed to provide all possible help to those injured in the accident.”

At least 51 trains were diverted, cancelled and terminated after the accident.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was distressed by the accident, and spoke with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to take stock of the situation.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed Special Relief Secretary Satyabrata Sahoo and Revenue Minister Pramila Malik to rush to the accident site, officials said.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said Bengal is sending a team led by a Minister to the spot to aid victims.
