Flood water entered several villages of Akhnoor in Jammu, Ramban and Udhampur districts, but there was no report of any major damage. Flash floods in Tawi and its tributaries in parts of Udhampur district damaged several foot bridges and some houses.
Union Minister and MP from Udhampur Jitendra Singh said, “I have just spoken to Udhampur District Magistrate Sachin Kumar on the phone. The Deputy Collector and Tehsildar have been asked to ensure their safety by immediately shifting the local people to safer places.
