21-Year-old student commits suicide by jumping in front of Noida Metro

A 21-year-old student committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train in Noida. This student jumped in front of the train at Golf Course station in Noida and died in the hospital.

New Delhi: A youth committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train in Noida. It is reported that a student jumped in front of a metro train on Saturday night at the Golf Course Metro station located in Sector 38 of Noida’s Sector 39 police station area. In a hurry, the injured student was taken to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi where he died in the early hours of Sunday. A police officer gave this information.

Admitted to the hospital in very serious condition

A spokesperson of the Commissioner of Police said that Jayendra Sharma (21), son of Shailendra Sharma, a resident of Noida Sector 36, jumped in front of a metro train on the night of May 27 at the Golf Course Metro station in Sector 39 police station area. He said that Jayendra was admitted to the district hospital in Noida in a very critical condition, from where he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. But he died in the early hours of Sunday during treatment.

Body sent for postmortem
A spokesperson for the Commissioner of Police said that the police is probing the matter. He said that prima facie it seems to be a case of suicide, although the police is probing the matter keeping all aspects in mind. On getting information about the incident, the relatives of the deceased also reached the hospital. Police has sent the dead body for postmortem after filling the panchnama. The police is now ascertaining the circumstances under which the youth committed suicide.
