3 people killed and 17 injured as bus overturns after hitting divider on Yamuna-Expressway in Mathura

Lucknow: A bus overturned after hitting a divider on the Yamuna-Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. In the accident, people died, while 17 people were injured. All have been admitted to the hospital. The accident took place near mile stone number 88 of the expressway. The highway police reached the spot and took care of the injured and the dead.

Lucknow: A bus overturned after hitting a divider on the Yamuna-Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura. In the accident, people died, while 17 people were injured. All have been admitted to the hospital. The accident took place near mile stone number 88 of the expressway. The highway police reached the spot and took care of the injured and the dead. Due to the accident, there was a long traffic jam at the spot till late night.

According to the information, the bus had left from Narela in Delhi, which was going to Darbhanga in Bihar. People working in different areas of Delhi boarded the bus around nine o’clock. Everyone was asleep at the time of the accident, but as soon as the bus turned around, there was a scream. The Agra-bound Shiv Prakash Travels bus hit the first divider and overturned. The incident was happened in 11.30 pm in Sunday night.

On the information, police officers besides Surir police reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. The injured were taken out of the bus and taken to the district hospital by ambulance. SDM Mant Indranandan Singh and CO Ravikant Parashar reached the spot and sent the injured and casualties under their direction for treatment.

Noida to Agra line was completely jammed due to overturning of the bus. In such a situation, the efforts to move the bus to the side by calling a crane continued till 12 o’clock in the night. A huge crowd of people also gathered at the spot, which disrupted the rescue work.
