New Delhi: Yet another shocking incident came to fore from Delhi where a five-year-old girl was abducted and then raped in outer-north Delhi area on Wednesday. The girl, who was playing outside her house in Bhalswa Dairy area on Wednesday, was abducted by a man, police said. While abducting the child, he was captured in the CCTV installed in the area. The CCTV footage shows the alleged kidnapper carrying the girl in his arms.
A case of kidnapping and raping a five-year-old girl has come to light in Bhalswa area of Delhi. An innocent girl was playing near the house at around 5 pm on 21st December. Meanwhile, a young man took him in his lap. On the morning of 22 December, a girl was found near a park. She was admitted to the hospital. Her treatment is going on.
The accused is missing and a search is on to trace him, police said.
Police said it is difficult to tell whether the girl stayed in the park for the entire night or the accused took her somewhere else and later left her in the park and fled. Further investigation is going on in this matter. Police said the matter is being probed and 10 teams of ‘special staff’ have been formed to trace the accused.
According to the police, a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 363 was first registered at Bhalswa Dairy police station on the basis of a complaint by the girl’s parents. After this the police raided. Police said section 376 of the IPC and section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act have also been added to the FIR.
The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Friday issued a notice to the Delhi Police seeking an action taken report in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual harassment of a five-year-old girl in Bhalswa Dairy. The commission has sought details regarding the FIR and arrest of the accused by December 26.
