In a tragic incident, 54-Year-old dies from the sets of South Superstar Vijay Sethupathi's film. Stuntman Suresh has died after falling from a height of 20 feet during the shooting.
New Delhi: A major accident took place on the sets of superstar Vijay Sethupathi’s film Viduthalai, in which a stuntman named Suresh died while performing a stunt for the film. Stuntman Suresh worked in the film industry for more than three decades. According to reports, he fell from a height of 20 feet after getting entangled in the rope, after which the tragic incident took place. The entire industry is shocked by the death of stuntman Suresh. His age was 54 years.
stuntman S Suresh was doing a scene of jumping from a height. Suresh was tied to a crane at a height but then as soon as the scene started, the rope broke. Only after this stuntman Suresh fell straight down from a height of about 20 feet. He was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared him dead. He is survived by his wife and two children.
The team Viduthalai including director Vetrimaaran, actors Soori and Vijay Sethupathy among others, hasn’t released any official statement on Suresh’s death yet.
A similar horrific incident happened in the year 2020 where three technicians died on the sets of Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 when a crane fell and damaged a major part of the sets. The shoot of the film was halted for over two years until this September. The film’s directors Shankar, Haasan, and Lyca Productions gave Rs 1 crore each to the families of the three deceased members. Before that, actor Akshay Kumar introduced an insurance system for stuntmen in India.
