Mexico: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Mexico and Guatemala. According to reports, a 6.4-magnitude earthquake shook the Central American nation and parts of southern Mexico. However, no damage has been reported due to the earthquake.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said a magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred at a depth of 252 kilometers (156.6 mi) and its epicenter was 2 kilometers southeast of the municipality of Canilla, Guatemala. The USGS reported that the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.4.
Guatemala’s natural disaster agency said there were no reports of immediate damage from the quake. Meanwhile, civil protection officials in the southern Mexican state of Chiapas said there was no damage to property. Neighboring country El Salvador tweeted that there is no danger of tsunami from the earthquake.
