60 shops charred in dawn blaze at Delhi’s Chandni Chowk market

60 shops charred in dawn blaze at Delhi’s Chandni Chowk market

New Delhi: Around 60 shops and stalls were gutted in a massive fire in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk in the early hours today. Twelve fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the fire. No casualties have been reported in the incident.

The fireplace in Lajpat Rai market, which is situated reverse to the Pink Fort, began round 4.45 am.

Visuals from the spot confirmed tall flames swallowing outlets as hearth fighters and native residents attempt to management the blaze. Later, pictures tweeted by information company ANI confirmed charred outlets and merchandise burnt to ash.

A complete line of small outlets could be seen burning in a video shot on the spot.

There is no such thing as a data but on on what induced the fireplace.
