68th National Film Awards 2022: Actress Asha Parekh get Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Ajay Devgan, Suriya get Best Actor award

New Delhi: Today, on 30th September, the 68th National Film Awards ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Many celebrities from the Hindi film industry including India’s regional entertainment industry attended the ceremony. Bollywood industry veteran Asha Parekh was honored with the ‘Dadasaheb Phalke’ award, Ajay Devgan got the best actor award for the film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and Suriya for the film ‘Soorarai Potaru’.

The National Film Awards were not organized for 2 years due to the Corona epidemic. In such a situation, the films of 2020 were included in the list of this festival organized this year. This time South’s films also dominated along with other regional films.

The ceremony began with the announcement of the names of all the winners. The ceremony progressed after the arrival of the President of India, Draupadi Murmu. First the lamp was lit, then one by one the winners were given awards.

1.The Best Popular Film Award – Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior

2.Best Feature Film Award – Soorarai Pottru (Tamil)

3.Best Actor Award – Ajay Devgn (Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior) and Suriya (Soorarai Potru),

4.Best Hindi Film Award – Tulsidas Jr. (Ashutosh Gowariker)

5.Best Director Award – KR Sachidanandan (for Malayalam film AK Ayyappanam Koshiyum)

6.Best Actress Award – Aparna Balamurali (Soorarai Potru)

7.Best Lyricist Award – Manoj Muntashir (Saina).

Along with this, many regional films and artists were also awarded for other categories. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur was also present during this program. In the end the President of India Draupadi Murmu addressed all the people who attended the ceremony and the program ended by singing the national anthem.
