69th National film awards: Allu Arjun accepts his 1st National Award, Alia Bhatt, Kriti receive top honours

New Delhi: The 69th National Film Fare Award Ceremony was organized on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhawan in the capital Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu conferred the awards to the winners, including Best Actor winner Allu Arjun. Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon were honored with the Best Actress Award for 'Gangubai' and 'Mimi' respectively.

New Delhi: The 69th National Film Fare Award Ceremony was organized on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhawan in the capital Delhi. This award ceremony organized for the films made in the year 2021 is very popular. The award-winning stars have received the honor at the hands of President Draupadi Murmu. Due to corona epidemic, these awards are delayed by 1 year. President Droupadi Murmu conferred the award to the winners, including Best Actor winner Allu Arjun.

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon were honored with the Best Actress Award for ‘Gangubai’ and ‘Mimi’ respectively. Here both the actresses received the honor at the hands of President Draupadi Murmu. The National Film Award for best director went to Nikhil Mahajan for Marathi film Godavari. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali bagged the National Award for Best Editing for Gangubai Kathiawadi. Along with this, director Vivek Agnihotri film ‘The Kashmir Files’ was honored with the Nargis Dutt Award.

Along with this, director Sujith Sircar’s film ‘Sardar Udham’ has also received many awards. This film won the best Hindi film award. Along with this, the Best Cinematography, Best Audiography, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design awards were also given to the film ‘Sardar Udham’. The Nambi Effect, the biographical drama written, produced and directed by R. Madhavan in his directorial debut, won the Best Feature Film award.

The award for best popular film providing wholesome entertainment went to the Telugu version of the multilingual film RRR. The Kashmir Files, directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, won the Nargis Dutt Award for best film on national integration. Along with this, famous actress Waheeda Rehman was also honored with Dada Saheb Phalke Award. The names of the winners of these awards were announced in the month of September this year. The award ceremony was held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Tuesday. On this occasion, the stars of the film world gather here.

Director Nikhil Mahajan and Bakul Matiani have been honored with the Best Director Award. Pallavi Joshi won the Best Supporting Actress award. Pankaj Tripathi has been honored with the Best Supporting Actor award for the film Mimi. Shreya Ghoshal was given the National Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer for the song ‘Irwin Nizhal’. The Best Screenplay Award has been given to Utkarshini Vashisht for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also given the award for Best Editing. The film ‘Gangubai’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also won many awards. RRR maker Rajamouli, Shershaah producer Karan Johar, RRR Oscar-winning music composer-lyricist duo Chandrabose and M. M. Keeravani, Pushpa music composer Devi Sri Prasad was also honoured at the ceremony.
