Narayanpur: Once again there has been a fierce encounter between Naxalites and soldiers in Chhattisgarh. Soldiers have killed 7 Naxalites in the Naxal-affected areas Narayanpur, Bijapur and Dantewada border. The bodies of two Naxalites have so far been recovered from the incident site. It is being told that on Thursday, 1000 soldiers from three districts had gone on a searching operation. During this period, encounters took place between Naxalites and soldiers at different areas. This incident has been confirmed by Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar.
Giving information, Narayanpur SP Prabhat Kumar said that on the intelligence of Naxalites of Platoon No. 16 and Indravati Area Committee in the border area of Narayanpur-Bijapur district, DRG of Narayanpur, Dantewada and Bastar district. And STF teams along with Bastar fighters had gone on a search operation.
Giving information, the SP further said that today, May 23, at around 11 pm, the Naxalites started firing on the security forces. The encounter between the police and the Naxalites is still going on intermittently. The soldiers have so far recovered the bodies of two Naxalites from the incident site. A large quantity of weapons have also been found. There is a possibility of 10/12 Naxalites getting injured.
