7-Year-old boy who fell into a 60-foot-deep borewell dies after rescue; CM announces ex-gratia

Vidisha News: Lokesh who fell in 60 feet deep borewell has been pulled out after 24 hours. The child has died during treatment in the hospital.

Vidisha: Seven-year-old Lokesh, who fell in a borewell in Vidisha district of Madhya Pradesh, was taken out of the borewell. While the child died during treatment in the hospital. Lokesh had fallen into the borewell yesterday at around 10.30 am while driving away the monkeys, continuous efforts were being made to rescue him. At the same time, after about a day, the innocent was taken to the hospital, but the child’s life could not be saved.

To get Lokesh out safely, a 50 feet deep pit was dug with the help of four JCBs and three Poklen machines. At the same time, a five feet long tunnel was made to reach Lokesh.

stuck at 43 feet
In fact, a boy had fallen into a borewell pit in the Kherkhadi Pathan area near Anandpur in Lateri tehsil of Vidisha. According to Vidisha Collector Umashankar Bhargava, the boy was running after the monkeys when he fell into a 60 feet deep borewell. Lokesh got stuck at 43 feet in a 60 feet deep borewell. To get Lokesh out safely, the NDRF team rescued the child.

A parallel 50 feet pit was dug near the borewell with the help of four JCBs, while every activity of the child was monitored through CCTV. Oxygen was also made available to the child in the pit itself. Later a five feet long tunnel was made to take out the child.
