Lucknow: On Monday morning, A major accident was happened on Purvanchal Expressway. Two double-decker buses collided on Purvanchal Espress near Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh, in which eight people lost their lives and the condition of 20 people is critical. The bus was coming to Delhi from Sitamarhi in Bihar. The accident happened when another speeding double-decker bus rammed into an already parked double-decker bus.
According to the information, Police and rescue team are present on the spot. Relief and rescue work is on. The injured have been admitted to CHC Haidergarh. At the same time, the seriously injured have been referred. The accident happened near Narendrapur Madraha village of Loniktra police station area.
Taking to Twitter, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the road accident on Purvanchal Expressway. CM Yogi tweeted, ‘The loss of life in a road accident on Purvanchal Expressway is extremely sad. Instructions have been given to the concerned officials for speedy relief and rescue operations and proper treatment of the injured. May Lord Shri Ram grant peace to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.’
