New Delhi: On Tuesday i.e. this morning, Earthquake tremors were felt once again after Monday in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake of 5.0 magnitude occurred at 5:57 am at 215 km ESE of Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Earlier at 2.54 am, a tremor of 4.4 magnitude was also felt 244 km southeast of Port Blair
Earlier on Monday afternoon, there was an earthquake 256 km southeast of Port Blair at around 3.02 minutes. According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded at 4.4 on the Richter scale. As of now, there is no news of any loss of life due to the earthquake.

Termors in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda
Earthquake tremors of 3.2 magnitude were also felt in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Monday. There is no report of any damage to property due to the earthquake. The officers provided this information. He said that low-intensity tremors of earthquake were felt in the Doda district of the Union Territory at 12:12 in the afternoon. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of five kilometres. Officials said that there was no report of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a high-seismic zone and is prone to earthquakes. The entire island chain is also susceptible to tsunamis both from large local quakes and also from massive distant shocks. No warning system is presently in place for any of the islands in this chain.
