A shocking incident ! Woman,30-yr-old, gangraped at New Delhi station, 4 railway employees arrested

New Delhi: Another gangraped case has been reported in New Delhi. A woman, 30-yr-old, was allegedly gang-raped by 2 Railway employees at the New Delhi Railway Station, while two others guarded the room at New Delhi railway station premises in the early hours of Friday, the Delhi police said on Saturday.

DCP Railway Harendra Singh informed that all four railway employees have been arrested in connection with the crime that came to fore after the woman made a call to the police around 2.30am on Friday. He further said that the survivor, a resident of Faridabad, told them that around two years back she came into contact with one of the accused through a common friend. The accused told her that he was a railway employee and could arrange a job for her too.

According to the police information all four accused are identified. One of the arrested men, identified as 35-year-old Satish Kumar, has been known to the woman for the past two years. The other three arrested men, identified as Vinod Kumar, 38, Mangal Chand Meena, 33, and Jagdish Chand ,37, are friends of Kumar. All four are employees of the electrical department in the Indian railways, said deputy commissioner of police (railways), Harendra Kumar Singh.

DCP Railway Harendra Singh said that the woman first made a call to the police at 2.27am on Friday and alleged that two men raped her in a room at a railway station. The call was first received at the Old Delhi railway station police station. He added that the woman was also raped by the railway employees in the electrical maintenance staff hut at the railway station’s platform no 8-9. The woman has been separated from her husband for the past year and is engaged in a court case for divorce.
