Shraddha's father said that the lax attitude of the police hurt me a lot. Had there been timely action, my daughter would have been alive. I am deeply saddened by the death of my daughter.
New Delhi: In the Shraddha Walkar gruesome murder case, today Shraddha’s father Vikas Walkar told the media that Delhi Governor, Delhi Police officers and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis have assured me that we will get justice. He said that the investigation is going in the right direction. I have full faith in justice. I need your help in getting justice.
He further said that it was Aftab who had brutally murdered my daughter. Aftab should be punished severely and the role of his family members should also be investigated. He should also be punished as he did with my daughter. I want him to be hanged. What happened to my daughter should not happen to anyone.
He also said that the lax attitude of the police hurt me a lot. Had there been timely action, my daughter would have been alive. I am deeply saddened by the death of my daughter. Along with this, people above 18 years of age should also have counseling because before leaving my house, my daughter said that I have become an adult, so I could not do anything.
Furthermore, he also questioned the “freedom” that people get on turning 18 years old, saying it should be given more thought. Mr Walkar demanded action against some mobile applications which are “creating trouble”.
Shraddha had met Aaftab in Mumbai through the mobile dating application Bumble. Police had written to Bumble seeking details from Aaftab’s account to help in the investigation, and reached out to other women he met through it while Shraddha’s body parts were still at his Chattarpur apartment.
