New Delhi: Aamir Khan took part in Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan 7 with Kareena Kapoor, co-star of his upcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor, apart from other issues, talked about his family during the show. ” Talking amidst his relationship with former wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, the actor said, “We meet once a week despite our busy schedule. We still love, respect, and care for each other. Aamir further added, “I have lots of respect for both of them.” “Hum log hamesha parivar he rahenge (We will always live like a family).”

Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao remained as husband and wife for 15 years and separated in 2021. The actor tied the knot with Kiran Rao in 2005, and they were blessed with a son, Azad, born in 2011. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao came close to each other after their meeting on the sets of Lagaan. Kiran was an assistant director on that award-winning film. Both have worked together in the forthcoming Aamir Khan movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, which Kiran Rao has co-produced.

Aamir Khan first got married to Reena Dutta. Both have two kids. Ira is the younger of Aamir Khan’s two children. She made her directorial debut with a theatrical adaptation of Euripides’ Medea, which featured Hazel Keech in the titular role. It premiered in several cities across the country in December 2019, and her brother Junaid frequently assists his father, Aamir Khan, in filmmaking.

Thugs of Hindostan was Aamir Khan’s last onscreen project in 2018, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh. His upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, is set to be released on August 11.
