Fauja Singh Sarari said that he has decided to resign due to personal reasons. He further claimed that he has no differences with the party and that he will continue his work for the party as a loyal soldier.
The swearing-in ceremony for the new minister is expected to take place in Chandigarh at Raj Bhavan before 5 pm today. The oath-taking ceremony will be simple.
As per the sources, a reshuffle is set to occur in the Punjab cabinet, and there is an expectation that several new faces will be included in the state cabinet. Currently, there are four ministries out of 17 that have not been assigned.
AAP came into power for the first time in Punjab last year and knocked out the previous Congress government. The Aam Aadmi Party bagged 92 seats out of 117 state assembly seats. Bhagwant Mann took oath as the new chief minister of Punjab.
