New Delhi: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia was taken to the Rouse Avenue Court for production today in the Delhi Excise Policy case. During this, the police were seen taking Manish Sisodia under security cordon. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal shared a video clip of police taking away Sisodia in which he alleged misbehavior.

Sharing the video, CM Kejriwal wrote, ‘Does the police have the right to misbehave with Manish ji like this? Have the police been asked from above to do this?’

Let me tell you, the difficulties of Manish Sisodia surrounded in this case have increased further. Rouse Avenue Court has extended Manish Sisodia’s judicial custody till June 1.

Delhi Police should immediately suspend this policeman

Actually, this clip has been retweeted by CM Kejriwal from the account of Atishi, a minister in the Delhi government. Sharing this video, Atishi wrote, Shocking misbehavior with Manish ji by this policeman in Rouse Avenue Court. Delhi Police should suspend him immediately.

Delhi Police reply on the allegations

At the same time, Delhi Police’s reply has now come on the allegations leveled by CM Kejriwal and AAP leaders. The Delhi Police has termed the allegations of misbehavior as propaganda. In a statement issued by the police, it was said, ‘The response of the police publicized in the video was mandatory from the point of view of security.’

Delhi Police, in a tweet, denied misbehaving with Mr Sisodia, calling it false propaganda.

“The police action shown in the video was necessary for security. It is against the law for any accused to give statements to the media,” the police said in the tweet.

According to media reports, Manish Sisodia demanded a table, chair and some books during the hearing, which was accepted by the court. Actually, Sisodia’s judicial custody was to end today in the excise scam case, for which he was produced today.
