According to information received from sources, there were 155 passengers on board the flight. There was no response from Indigo on the incident. The source said the aircraft had a hydraulic system issue and later landed safely at the Delhi airport.
Same incident has happened before in which two weeks ago, a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight had to make an emergency landing at Bhubaneswar airport soon after takeoff after it was hit by a bird. Similarly, in August, another IndiGo flight had to make an emergency landing at Nagpur airport due to a medical emergency of a passenger. A passenger started vomiting blood in an Indigo flight going from Mumbai to Ranchi. Although he was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to his illness.
According to the information, two such cases were reported in a few hours on the same day last Tuesday. Where there were technical problems in the flight mid-air. An engine of the flight going from Kolkata to Bangalore broke down in mid-air, after which it was landed safely. At the same time, the engine of another Indigo flight going from Madurai to Mumbai broke down in mid-air. After which it was landed safely. There is no information about any passengers being injured in both these incidents.
