Akshay Kumar has expressed grief over the demise of Pankaj's father. While tweeting, he has prayed for the peace of his father's soul.
Pandit Banaras Tiwari, father of Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi, has passed away. He was 98 years old. Pandit Banaras Tiwari breathed his last at Belsand, his ancestral village in Barauli under Gopalganj district of Bihar.
As per a statement released by his team, Pankaj has already left from Uttarakhand, where he was shooting for a film, to his village in Bihar. The last rites will be performed today amongst his close family.
‘No one can fulfill the absence of parents’
After hearing the news of Pankaj Tripathi’s death, Akshay Kumar wrote on Twitter- “The news of the death of my friend and co-star Pankaj Tripathi’s father is very sad. No one can fill the absence of parents. May God give place to his father’s soul at his feet. om Shanti.’

For the unversed, Pankaj Tripathi’s parents lived in their ancestral village in Gopalganj while the actor resides in Mumbai with his wife and children. In earlier interviews, the OMG 2 had opened up about how his father wanted him to be a doctor. On the work front, Pankaj is gearing up for the release of Fukrey 3 and is also filming for Stree 2 currently. He is also portraying former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in his biopic Main Atal Hoon. His last outing was OMG 2 which explores the taboo topic of sex education.
