Ahmedabad: Every good thing one day comes to an end, and so is the case with the IPL 2022 edition. The closing ceremony of this mega event will be held on Sunday, May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad after the end of the final between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).
Opening and closing ceremonies are almost incomplete in India without the presence of Bollywood celebrities. Actor Ranveer Singh and music maestro AR Rahman have been gearing up to set the stage on fire after the end of the match. Ranveer’s heart beats for the Mumbai Indians. Unfortunately, MI performed miserably throughout the tournament and never in the race for the playoffs.
The exciting showpiece will feature Jharkhand’s famous Chhau Dance. As per a report, the BCCI has finalised a 10-member team of Jharkhand’s Chhau Dance to perform in the closing ceremony.
Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI president; Jay Shah, the honourary BCCI secretary; and former Indian skippers are expected to be part of the mega event’s closing ceremony in Ahmedabad. The board has decided to celebrate India’s 75th year of independence and show the glorious journey of Indian cricket since independence.
The Covid-19 pandemic and other unavoidable reasons marred the closing ceremony of the cash-rich IPL tournament since 2019
“The BCCI invites bids from reputed entities for staging the Closing Ceremony of IPL 2022, through a tender process,” the Indian board was quoted as saying earlier.
The closing ceremony of the 15th edition of IPL is expected to be of a 45-minute duration. Crowds have everything for the enjoyment of the 2022 IPL final.
