Actor Sunil Shetty joins plantation drive organised at Rewti Range, planted saplings with BSF jawans

Famous actor Sunil Shetty also participated in the Ek Peed Maa ke Naam campaign being run on the resolution of PM Modi in Indore. He reached Revathi range and planted trees. Famous actor Sunil Shetty also participated in the Ek Peed Maa ke Naam campaign being run on the resolution of PM Modi in Indore. He reached Revathi range and planted trees. On this occasion, Sunil Shetty described the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, which was started on the resolution of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as wonderful. He has also praised the campaign of planting 51 lakh saplings under this campaign in Indore. He said that Indore is being known as clean city in the entire country. This city will now also establish its new identity as a Green City. Minister Vijayvargiya gave detailed information regarding the campaign to Sunil Shetty. BSF jawans were also present in large numbers in the tree plantation programme.

On the first day of Gupt Navratri and on the occasion of the birth anniversary of late Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder of Bharatiya Jan Sangh, the mega campaign of plantation of 51 lakh trees was formally launched. Saints and distinguished citizens started the program by planting 11 thousand saplings in the program organized at Pitru Parvat in the presence of senior sages and saints.

Addressing the press conference, Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the target of planting 51 lakh trees initially seemed very big, but the enthusiasm and activism of the people of Indore has reduced it. So far, about 48 lakh pits have been dug for planting 51 lakh trees. With the help of 70 machines, 1.5 lakh pits are being dug daily. 19 lakh trees will be planted in the city. Out of this, 5 lakh trees will be planted in the gardens of the city. IDA will plant 3 lakh trees in the city. 20 lakh trees will be planted by the forest department.
