Actress Akanksha Dubey death: Singer Samar Singh has been arrested in connection with the death of Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey. The team of Varanasi Crime Branch and Ghaziabad Police raided the Charms Castle Society of Rajnagar Extension on Thursday night. Along with Samar, some others have also been detained for questioning. After the medical, the accused were produced in the CJM court, from where the Varanasi police took them on transit remand. The police arrested Samar and brought him to the Nandgram police station. After some paper work there, he was sent to MMG Hospital for medical. During this, Samar was not answering any question with his face hidden. He was asked many questions related to Akanksha, but he went with the police without saying anything. According to the police, he had changed his look somewhat, due to which he was not easily recognized.
The police want to interrogate Samar Singh on remand, regarding which he will appeal in the court. While advocate Shashank Shekhar Tripathi, advocate of Akanksha Dubey, will plead to make a charge of Section 302 on Samar.
Akanksha Dubey’s body was found in a hotel room on March 26 in Sarnath, Varanasi. Akanksha’s mother had given a complaint to the police against singer Samar Singh and brother Sanjay Singh. It was told that he had cheated after being in a relationship with his daughter. Not only this, he was also instigated to commit suicide. Samar and his brother were absconding since the case was registered.
Samar Singh was arrested by the Varanasi police on Thursday morning from a close friend’s house in a society in Ghaziabad. Samar was about to go abroad from Delhi, but stopped at Ghaziabad after the lookout notice was issued at the last moment.
On Friday, the 13th day after the incident from Nandgram police station area, the police presented the accused in the CJM court of Ghaziabad and filed an application for transit remand. Samar Singh was brought to Varanasi on Saturday morning after the transit remand was approved. Varanasi police, who brought him on 24-hour transit remand, will present him in the court today.
