New Delhi: Sudipto Sen film ‘The Kerala Story’ is making waves at the box office. The film has touched the figure of 150 crores while making a great collection on the second weekend. On the other hand, The Kerala Story is proving to be a blockbuster hit, earning handsomely on the second Monday of its release. In this way, The Kerala Story has reached the second position in the list of highest-grossing films in such a short span of time. Earlier, Shahrukh Khan’s film ‘Pathan’ has been the highest grossing film.

The initial box office figures of The Kerala Story were believed to be around 200 crores. It was expected that the film would cross the 200 crore mark, but now seeing the ever-increasing earnings of the film, it can be said that The Kerala Story will easily touch the 250 crore mark. In this way, The Kerala Story will become the second biggest Bollywood film of the year.

Adah Sharma’s The Kerala Story recently left behind Alia Bhatt’s film Gangubai Kathiawadi in terms of earnings. Now this film is ready to leave Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ behind in terms of earnings. In this way, The Kerala Story is going to become the highest grossing women centric film.

At the same time, the film is getting great response in other countries as well. The film is doing a good collection in Australia. Looking at the worldwide collection of the film, it is believed that The Kerala Story can match Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’. Which had earned more than 340 crores last year.
