But a new case has emerged from Karnataka. Here the proposed metro work is going on on the Outer Ring Road, due to which people will have trouble in commuting.
In such a situation, in view of the situation, a letter has been sent to all the companies there by the Department of Electronics, IT, TV and Science & Technology. In this letter, companies have been advised to issue work from home by December 2022.
Quoting Metro Rail Corporation, it has been written in this letter that ‘the proposed metro line from Central Silk Board to KR Puram on the Outer Ring Road may cause problems to the employees. EV Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics, said that this work can continue for one-and-a-half to two years. In such a situation, companies can continue work from home keeping in mind the interest of their employees.

On the other hand, Commissioner of Urban Land Transport Directorate V. Manjula said that if we feel that work from home cannot be increased further, then we will consider it. He says that companies should encourage their employees to travel by bus, motorcycle. Because companies have just been advised from our side. The company can consider this as per its convenience.

According to Admissions Chief Secretary EV Raman Reddy, this is just an advice. It is up to the company to consider it and implement it or not. Companies are not required to accept this. If necessary, companies can also start work from office. This letter was issued by the department only so that the employees do not face any problem.
12 thousand employees work in this field
Actually, about 12 thousand employees work on the Outer Ring Road. Out of this, only 5 percent of the employees are coming back now. Cisco has implemented the work from home policy on a permanent basis and companies like SAP, Walmart, Intel have not yet reacted on it.
