Bengaluru: The Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced on Sunday that Asia’s largest aero show will be held from February 13–17, 2023, at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. This would be the 14th edition of the Aero India Show.
The biennial showpiece will continue for five days. The last edition, which took place in 2021, was cut short to a three-day programme due to the spread of the COVID pandemic.
The last edition of Aero India was not opened to the common people; it was limited only to business visitors. The acrobatic event was going to be one of the biggest hybrid aero shows. Overall, a delegation of 43 nations and 530 countries took part in the flexible show.
The event will be organised by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the nodal agency that has responsibility for organising defence events in the country. HAL has the distinction of organising the show again. The government has eased the restrictions on international travellers in the country. Therefore, the organisers are hoping that the registration will break all previous editions’ records.
