Afghanistan: A major road accident has come to light in northern Afghanistan. 25 people including nine children and 12 women have died in a mini bus accident.

Afghanistan: A major road accident has come to light in northern Afghanistan. 25 people including nine children and 12 women have died in a mini bus accident.

According to the police, The accident happened in a mountainous area in Sar-e-Pul province where the travelers were returning from a wedding ceremony. They were traveling from one part of Sayyid district to another.

Deen Mohammad Nazari, spokesman for the local police commander, blamed the minibus driver for the accident. The car fell into a deep gorge due to the negligence of the driver, he said. Nazari did not clarify whether there were any survivors in the accident.

Be aware that traffic accidents are common in Afghanistan. Mainly due to the bad condition of the roads and the negligence of the drivers on the highways, accidents happen here on a regular basis.
