Afghanistan blasts: 46 girls and women out of 53 killed in Kabul classroom suicide bombing

An explosion occurred near the Pul-e-Sukhta area on Shahid Mazari Road in the west of Kabul, the Afghan capital.

Kabul: There has been a bomb blast in Afghanistan once again. It is being told that a massive bomb blast took place near Pul-e-Sukhta area on Shahid Majri Road in western Kabul. The blast took place in a Hazara community dominated area. There is no information about the number of casualties so far. At least 53 people including 46 girls and women have been killed in a Kabul classroom Suicide bombing. Afghanistan’s Khaama Press reported that an explosion occurred near the Pul-e-Sukhta area on Shahid Mazari Road in the west of Kabul, the Afghan capital.

The report said the blast happened around 2 pm in Kabul. The Shaheed Mazari area is reportedly a Hazara populated area. Taliban officials have yet to issue a statement on the blast.

Reports of the blast came as the United Nations mission said today that the death toll in a suicide bombing at the Kaj Educational Center had risen to 43. The casualties could rise further in Friday’s college bomb blast in Hazara’s neighbourhood.
