Afghanistan: Earthquake of 4.2 magnitude hits Afghanistan’s Kabul, second time in 6 days

New Delhi: According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), a magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Kabul, Afghanistan at 1:40 p.m. on early hours on Wednesday. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 136 km at a longitude of 69.51 and a latitude of 34.53.

New Delhi: A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Kabul, Afghanistan at 1:40 p.m. on early hours on Wednesday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The earthquake occurred at a depth of 136 km at a longitude of 69.51 and a latitude of 34.53. After Turkey, the earthquake has also increased the tension in Afghanistan. Earthquakes hit here for the second time this month

The National Center for Seismology tweeted, “A magnitude 4.2 earthquake occurred on March 8. Earthquake’s latitude: 34.53, longitude 69.51 and depth was up to 136 km. As soon as the earthquake was detected, people came out of their houses. However, no casualty has been reported yet.”

Earlier on March 2, an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred in the Faizabad region of Afghanistan at 2:35 pm IST. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake occurred at a latitude of 37.73 and a longitude of 73.47 with a depth of 245 km.

Let us tell you that there was an earthquake in the Nicobar Islands region on Tuesday morning. The tremors of this earthquake were felt in the morning (6th March) at about 5.7 minutes. According to the National Center for Seismology, the intensity of the earthquake was measured at 5 on the Richter scale. Earthquake tremors were felt in two countries India and Indonesia.

Let us tell you that there was an earthquake in Manila, Philippines on Tuesday. Its intensity was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale. According to the American Geological Survey, the tremors of the earthquake were felt at 2 pm local time. Their center remained in Davao de Oro province in Mindanao island. There was no news of any casualty here either.
