After family, Deepika Padukone tests COVID-19 positive, father hospitalised

Mumbai: One of the popular Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is currently with her ailing family in home town Bengaluru, has reportedly been tested positive for COVID-19. Around 10 days ago, her father and former badminton champion Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha had also tested positive for coronavirus. Later, due to deteriorating heath her father was admitted to hospital.

Amid the ongoing second wave of Covid-19, several Bollywood celebrities have reportedly been infected by the virus in recent past. Vimal Kumar, a friend of Padukone has told media that: “Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala), and second daughter (Anisha), developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home and he too will be hopefully discharged in 2-3 days.”

However, no official confirmation of the development has been given by any of Deepika’s family members, so far.

Famous Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani had put out a post on Instagram informing that the star family is down with COVID-19.

On work front, Deepika has an impressive line-up of projects in the pipeline, including ’83’, ‘Baiju Bawra’, ‘Fighter’, ‘Sanki’, ‘Pathan’, and Indian adaptation of Nancy Meyers’s 2015 hit Hollywood film ‘The Intern’.
