Where people have expressed the fear of collapsing houses. Some people have evacuated some houses as a precautionary measure. People allege that the sewer line has got jammed in the area. In such a situation, due to lack of drainage, water accumulated inside the ground. Due to which these cracks have come. At the same time, there has been talk of getting the administration investigated in this whole matter.
Giving details, locals in the area said a pipeline was laid by the government under the Smart City scheme, which is now reportedly leaking, leading to the development of cracks.
“It has been 3-4 days. We have intimated about the same to the department, but no assistance has been provided so far. We are being forced to live in terror,” Afsha Mashroor, a local said.
Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Rakesh Kumar Yadav said that just now it was reported that some houses in Aligarh have developed cracks. Will send our team and probe will be done as to why this has happened. Significantly, cracks have developed in houses in Joshimath, Uttarakhand. Due to which a large number of people are upset. The Uttarakhand government and the central government are probing the matter.
