New Delhi: Not only has the wedding of IAS pair Tina Dabi and Pradeep Gawande made headlines, but so has the marriage of 56-year-old IAS official Shailbala Martin. Martin will marry senior journalist Rakesh Pathak, 57, in the near future.

While Martin, who lives in Indore, is a single man, Pathak, who lives in Gwalior, is the father of two daughters. They fell in love two years ago and have now chosen to pursue their relationship further. Pathak’s first wife died seven years ago. The two allegedly met during a television discussion, according to sources.

Pathak made the relationship public on his Facebook account. “We are now going to be jeevansathi.”

Pathak’s message with the title “Dukh-Sukh Ke Sathi Hain Shailbala” on his Facebook account read: “We are friends for the past two years and during this period it was realised we both share the same thoughts. We often used to meet during news debates. Now, we have decided to live together and therefore, we are going to marry soon. Apart from serving as a senior IAS officer, Shailbala also writes occasionally.”

She has held a number of high-ranking posts in the MP government. She is now employed as an assistant secretary in the Bhopal state government.

Tina Dabi, who topped the UPSC 2016 test in Rajasthan, is allegedly planning to marry IAS officer Gawande on April 22 in Jaipur.

Dabi’s fiancé has also announced their engagement with a photo of the two of them on Instagram.

“Together, is my favourite place to be!,” he wrote in his Instagram post.

Who is IAS officer Pradeep Gawande?

Gawande was born on December 9, 1980, in Maharashtra, and is a well-known IAS officer from the 2013 batch. He earned his MBBS degree before taking the UPSC test, and he is a licenced physician. He is presently the director of Rajasthan’s Archaeology and Museums. He’s been collecting ‘Churu’ for a while now.

Dabi was previously married to IAS Athar Aamir Khan, who came in second place in the UPSC all-India test, which Tina Dhabi had won. Tina’s announcement of their relationship in 2016 drew a lot of attention to the couple. They had married in 2018, however the pair announced their split in November 2020.
