After Twitter, Meta announces paid blue verification tick on FB and Instagram, know prices

New Delhi: Meta, the parent company of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has announced a premium verification service. Now on Facebook and Instagram also you will have to pay for verified account i.e. Blue Tick. Its price has been fixed at $11.99 for web and $14.99 for iOS.

New Delhi: Meta, the parent company of social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, has announced a premium verification service. Now on Facebook and Instagram also you will have to pay for verified account i.e. Blue Tick. Its price has been fixed at $11.99 for web and $14.99 for iOS.

This week this service will be started in Australia and New Zealand for the first time. Soon this service will be started in other countries. The company’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced this. Zuckerberg said that from this week we are going to start meta verified. This is a subscription service through which you will be able to get your account verified. Users will be able to verify their account through their official ID.

Pages of creators, public figures, celebrities, companies and brands are given blue badges after verification by Facebook.

Earlier, Twitter had introduced paid subscription service Twitter blue. Twitter users in India will have to shell out Rs 900 per month for a mobile phone monthly plan to have a ‘blue tick’ mark on their accounts. The company has priced Twitter Blue at Rs 650 for web and Rs 900 for mobile app users. Twitter said that after getting the approval, the blue tick will be given to the customers of Blue with the verified phone number. The platform has introduced an annual plan for the users of the web. For this, consumers will have to pay Rs 6,800.
