Haridwar: Age is just a number, A video of an elderly woman jumping into the Ganges from a bridge at Har ki Pauri in Haridwar is going viral on social media leaves every one amazed. In the video, an elderly woman jumps into the boiling Ganges and the onlookers stop breathing. The age of the woman is said to be 70 years. People think that the grandmother jumped into the Ganges, but she should not get swept away in the boiling water. But the very next moment it is seen that the grandmother swims with great pleasure and reaches the shore.

This video from Haridwar, Uttarakhand has come under discussion. In Harki Padi, an old woman jumped into the river Ganga from the bridge. She jumped into the river without fear of going over the railing of the bridge, after which she was seen swimming. The woman is 70 years old and is said to be from Jind, Haryana.

At the age in which people are forced to walk with support, people are surprised to see such enthusiasm and agility at that age. It is being told that this elderly woman is a resident of Jind in Haryana. Seeing Dadi’s daring on social media, people are saying that she is 70 years old mermaid grandmother.

The video was shared by Ashok Basoya, Additional Advocate General of Chhattisgarh at the Supreme Court on his official Twitter handle. He wrote, “Amma’s jump.. Elderly woman, who jumped into the Ganges river from the bridge of Har ki Paidi, is seen in the video swimming comfortably after jumping into the Ganges from the bridge. The age of the elderly woman is said to be around 70 years old.”

The video has gone viral, and people were stunned by her determination. Many hailed her spirit and showered love on her through numerous heart emojis and comments. Some were also concerned about her safety.

In a similar instance, a 62-year-old Nagaratnamma from Bengaluru climbed Agasthya Koodam, a 1,868-metre (6,129 ft) high peak, the second-highest in Kerala. A video of her climbing a mountain went viral on social media, in which she is seen wearing a saree and climbing the summit with the help of ropes.
