New Delhi: On Sunday, The Aam Aadmi Party shared a video of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi party leader and holding a roadshow in Punjab. The video shows Mr Mann greeting people somewhere in Punjab during a roadshow. He is seen standing through the sunroof of his protected SUV, when a man in a black t-shirt waved at him.
Mann can be seen holding hands of the youth, as he raised concerns about the Agnipath scheme, recently introduced by the Centre. “All the leaders should have met and discussed ‘Agnipath’ before implementing it.” he said to Mann in Punjabi. Mr Mann, still holding the protester’s hand from the sunroof of the vehicle, replied, “If MPs meet to discuss ‘Agnipath’, I will personally go there.”
The reason why Punjab loves @BhagwantMann ❤️

CM Bhagwant Mann was holding the roadshow, ahead of the Sangrur by-election. Bhagwant Mann, who had won the Assembly Election from the Dhuri Assembly constituency and then took oath as Punjab Chief Minister, resigned as MP, which left the seat vacant.
Violent protests in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and other states against the Agneepath plan have been criticized. On the other hand, the opposition has supported the demands of the candidates and asked the Center to hold talks on the matter. The opposition also says that the government should have consulted other leaders before announcing such changes in recruitment in the armed forces. Meanwhile, protests are continuing in some states. The most violent demonstrations against this plan took place in Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Bihar. In the midst of these protests, the Center has announced several concessions.
