Agra: A tragic incident happened in Agra. Five people have been arrested in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 25-year-old woman by forcing her to drink alcohol in a hotel in Agra.
Giving details about this incident, The woman told local police that her friend and some other people forced her to drink alcohol and when she tried to protest, she was pulled inside a room and beaten up by some people.
After this incident, a case has been registered in the case under rape, assault and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Four men and one woman have been arrested in this case.
The rape victim has been sent for medical examination. The woman was an employee in the hotel and had been working there for one and a half years. A widely shared video showed him pleading for help while being dragged inside a room by a man.
“Please help me!”, she can be heard saying in the video, as a man drags her inside a room. The clip also shows her lying on the ground and accusing the men of “torture”.
The accused told the police that she was forcibly stopped in the room and beaten brutally. The accused also forced him to drink alcohol.
Senior police officer Sadar Archana Singh of Agra’s Tajganj police said that he had received information about that an incident of rape had taken place in the hotel. After this, Taking cognizance of the victim’s allegations, a case has been registered.
