AIADMK, the main opposition party in Tamil Nadu, staged rallies across the state on Friday, urging the state government to reverse the Electricity Board tariff hike.
Chennai: The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), the largest opposition party in Tamil Nadu, staged rallies across the state on Friday, September 16, urging the state government to reverse the Electricity Board tariff hike.
The AIADMK’s interim general secretary and former CM Edappadi K Palaniswami was also seen with the protesters in Chengalpet. EPS claimed that the state government and Chief Minister MK Stalin were being managed by the CM’s family rather than by the CM during the protest against the DMK administration.
According to EPS, the DMK government has been in power for 15 months, and it is now a dictatorship. The government is run by a family. Generally, there is only one CM in a state, but here in TN, four CMs have been working.
He further said, “It seems family members of the CM have been running the government. CM MK Stalin is nothing more than a puppet CM. His son-in-law, son, and wife are the ones running the government. “
