AIIMS Delhi server was attacked by Chinese, data retrieved now: Govt sources

According to sources, the hackers had warned not to use third party software to unlock the data. If this is done then all the data will be lost.

New Delhi: The server of Delhi AIIMS was hacked by the Chinese. Due to which the server of AIIMS was stalled for several days and all the online services were stopped. Now the server is being restored gradually.

According to sources, the hackers had locked the entire data of AIIMS and were demanding money to unlock it. According to sources, the hackers were from Hong Kong. A top source said, “The server attack was done by the Chinese. Out of 100 servers – 40 physical and 60 virtual – five physical servers were hacked by hackers.

According to the information received from the sources, the hackers had cyber-attacked the AIIMS server on November 23 at 7:07 am and 49 seconds through two mails. After this, the main server and application server of AIIMS was completely stalled.

The hackers said that how much money they have to pay will depend on repairing the data. The sooner the money is received, the sooner the data will be unlocked. As soon as the money is received, the key to unlock the data will be sent to the IT department of AIIMS.

Earlier this month, a special cell of Delhi Police launched an investigation into the attack on the computer system at AIIMS Delhi. According to official sources, a team of the Central Forensic Lab (CFSL) has been pressed into service to check the infected server of the AIIMS Delhi to identify the source of the malware attack.
