An Air Asia spokesperson said alternate arrangements have been made for the affected passengers and we are taking steps to minimize the impact on other scheduled operations. The flight was diverted back to Bengaluru airport when the pilot told that he could understand some problem in the engine.

According to Air Asia authorities, the flight took off at 6:50 am and was supposed to land by 9 AM in Lucknow. They further said that all passengers and crew members of the flight were safe.”AIX Connect confirms that i5-2472, scheduled to operate from Bengaluru to Lucknow, encountered a minor technical issue and elected to return to Bengaluru,” the AIX Connect spokesperson said.

Let us tell you that due to technical fault, emergency landing of planes has to be done often. Last month, an Air India flight coming from America to Delhi had to make an emergency landing in Stockholm, Sweden. There were 300 passengers in the flight. According to the information, flight number AI106 had flown from Newark in America to Delhi, but after a technical fault, it had to make an emergency landing at Stockholm airport in Sweden.

A large number of fire engines were deployed at the airport before landing. So that in case of an accident, it can be controlled. It is being told that the oil in the engine-2 of the flight was reducing rapidly. On inspection, it was found that oil was leaking from the second engine. Engine oil had reduced to 8 Qts, after which it was decided to make an emergency landing of the flight. Let us tell you that sometimes due to technical problems and sometimes due to other reasons, the cases of emergency landing of flights have increased rapidly in the last few days.
