Changing the route of the aircraft due to technical reasons is not a new phenomenon. Earlier, an IndiGo flight from Kannur to Doha was diverted at the airport earlier this month due to a technical snag. According to a report by news agency PTI, according to Indigo Airlines, flight 6E-1715 was diverted to Mumbai as a precautionary measure.

On the other hand, on July 22, the air pressure in the cabin of an Air India Boeing 787 aircraft coming from Dubai to Kochi had decreased drastically. There were about 260 passengers in this aircraft. The Indian Express report cited official sources as saying that the plane was at an altitude of 37,000 feet when the pressure inside the cabin dropped and as a result the oxygen masks came down and some passengers had bleeding noses. Complaints were received.
