Air India passenger, airline staff gets involved in an altercation after Delhi-Mumbai flight delayed by five hours

New Delhi: Passengers created ruckus at Terminal 3 of the Delhi airport after an Air India flight was delayed by nearly four hours from its scheduled time. After this, the anger of the passengers erupted on the airline staff and they had a heated argument at the airport itself.

In fact, the Air India flight to Mumbai was delayed by more than five hours late on Tuesday night. During this, when the passengers came to know about the delay of the flight, they created a ruckus at the airport. Here he had a scuffle with the airline staff.

A passenger on board the Delhi-Mumbai flight told ANI that flight AI-805 was rescheduled from its original schedule of 8:00 pm to 10:40 pm. After this, he changed the flight time to 11:35 pm and then to 12:30 pm. According to the passenger, the flight took off for Mumbai late at 1:48 am from Terminal 3 of Delhi airport.

Passengers have claimed that many have missed their connecting flights to Qatar due to the delay. Another passenger has claimed that it was a very bad experience. There were around 200 passengers at the airport and there was no clear statement from the airline. The passengers alleged that they were not even given water till 11:50 pm.

However, an Air India spokesperson rubbished the passengers’ claims. The flight was delayed by four hours due to technical reasons, he said. All the passengers were also fed and well taken care of. Explain that due to low visibility in dense fog at IGI Airport, low visibility protocol is in force. Seven flights coming to Delhi have been diverted to Jaipur.
