The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has imposed a fine of Rs 30 lakh on the airline company for calling a female friend in the cockpit of Air India’s Delhi-Dubai flight, flouting rules. This incident happened on February 27 this year.
DGCA has considered a violation of regulation. Actually, the matter is of 27 February. The pilot had allowed his female friend to enter the cockpit on the Dubai-Delhi flight. After getting the information, DGCA took this action. Considering this as a safety lapse, the pilot operating the aircraft has been suspended for 3 months.
