Mumbai: Actor Akshay Kumar, talking with the media, said that it has now become a new trend to boycott Hindi films before their screening. Raksha Bandhan is set to be released on August 11, 2022. As the title of the film suggests, it would be a family entertainer. In this film, the relationship between a brother and his four sisters is explored. It is now a trend on Twitter to call for a boycott of films. Speaking to the media, he said that it hurt him.

Akshay Kumar told the media, “There are a few people who do these things.” They want to create trouble. That’s alright. It is a free nation. Everyone is free to act however they like. It benefits the economy. People acting in this manner will not make any sense. We are all on the verge of making our nation the biggest and best. I’d ask them to abstain from engaging in it. I would also request everyone not to highlight such things, which will be beneficial for our nation.

Raksha Bandhan, which is directed by Aanand L Rai, stars like Deepika Khanna, Bhumi Pednekar, Sadia Khateeb, Sahejmeen Kaur, and Akshay Kumar, have played the key roles in this movie. On August 11, it will hit the screens. The film will have to compete with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha.
